Become a member

We are expanding our membership in all voice parts. We don’t formally audition new members, but it’s desirable that you have some understanding of musical notation. The ability to sight sing is not essential. Why not come along to one of our rehearsals and see how we get along?

We are currently on our summer break, and resume rehearsals on Monday 8 September 2025. Do come along to try us out – you’ll be made very welcome, and music will be provided.

I really enjoy singing with Forest – what a lovely friendly choir!  (new member, Spring 2024)

We practise every Monday at the Greenleaf Road Baptist Church in Walthamstow (see map below).
We start at 7:30pm and finish at 9:45pm, with a 15 min interval for tea and biscuits. (Bring your own cup.)

Autumn term rehearsals will run from Monday 8 September to our concert on Thursday 18 December.

For all new singers, the first term is free.  After that, the 2024-5 subscription is £276. You can also pay termly or in smaller instalments by standing order.
Students and benefit recipients are entitled to a concessionary rate of £120.
Membership is free for under-18s.
‘Guest members’ joining us for a specific concert will be asked for a donation – £70 as a suggestion.

A membership form will be given to new singers to complete and return so we have your contact details.
