Description:	(Above: St Thomas Church Leipzig in 1735) London Forest Choir Sylvan Ensemble Choristers of Chingford Parish Church Evangelist: Andrew Kennedy, tenor Christus: Jimmy Holliday, bass Amelia Berridge, soprano Freya Jacklin, alto Richard Dowling, tenor Paul Sheehan, bass conducted by Jonathan Rathbone Bach’s sacred oratorio for double choir, soloists and orchestra, composed for St Thomas’s Church in Leipzig in 1727. Bach composed this work in the language of his audience rather than Latin. This performance will be sung in English. Please note: the concert is in two halves: Part One 5.30-7.00, a supper interval, Part Two 8.30-1015pm (Supper not included, but there are restaurants, etc near)
